Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. It is a small glimpse into the powerful things that God is doing in our midst.  First Baptist Church of Las Cruces is a church which has embraced the Great Commission of Christ with gusto. With the presence of Christ in our midst and acting on His authority, our purpose is to go forth in our community and the world, making disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all that He commanded us. We reach out in love because He first loved us.

     With that as our mandate, we touch our community with a variety of worship styles.  On Sunday mornings we offer traditional and contemporary servcies. We lead people to examine God’s Word with Bible study classes on Sunday mornings, followed by discipleship classes on Sunday evenings. We offer an exciting childrens, youth, college, singles and senior adult ministries every week. It is our aim to minister to families, wherever they are along life’s journey. 

     Every Tuesday Night, we come together for an encounter with God in praise and prayer. Together, we look to the face of God and then the hand of God to meet our needs. It is exhilarating to see people collectively coming together to seek His face in humility. God has begun a wonderful new thing in our midst with respect to the centrality of prayer.

     First Baptist Church of Las Cruces is also a church on mission with God. Our G.R.O.W. outreach teams respond in love every Sunday afternoon. Historically, we have been a leader in starting churches in Doña Ana County. Today we send our members around congregations throughout our state and around the world with the message of Christ. We are both a giving and a going church with respect to missions.
