For the next few years, FBC will focus on our vision and mission through Influence, an emphasis to continue Reaching and Impacting, but with a view towards specific goals and objectives.
The purpose of Influence is to provide vision and structure to the church and church staff for the next four years.
Specifically, Influence is designed to reduce the principal on our debt to allow us to refinance the debt and provide more budget money to influence the culture and our church.
First Baptist has a Vision to “Be the church where people meet the authentic and authoritative Jesus.”
Our Mission is “To get people to Jesus.”
Our Influence strategy has two primary goals we want to achieve by the end of 2030: Influence our culture and Influence our church.
For our culture, we have two areas of emphasis.
We want to grow our mission’s budget from $250,000 to $500,000. This is to allow us to increase church planting and mission participation. This will also allow us greater participation in vital community faith-based ministries.
We plan to expand participation in our major events (The Bash, Worship Under The Stars, Craft Fair, etc.) and to increase the number of our events.
For our church, we have two areas of emphasis as well.
To add four ministry and /or technical staff to accommodate a church with a weekly on-campus attendance of 1500.
We also want to expand our Worship Serve Connect (WSC) strategy to accommodate an attendance of 1500. This will require that we expand our organization, training, and participation efforts.
By reducing and refinancing our debt, we can free up substantial amounts of money to accomplish our purpose.

Pray to Influence
Pray to Influence is your opportunity to join FBC in praying over our vision to influence the church and culture for Jesus. This 12-hour event will be held on May 3rd from 12:30 pm to 12:30 am in the worship center. Pick a half-hour time slot to pray, then come to FBC during that time and use the provided prompts to pray for God to act in and through FBC to reach and impact our church and culture. Give to Influence
By committing to be generous above your regular giving, to the Influence Campaign for the next two years, you will be a part of positioning the church to both pay down our debt and expand our ministry Influence to the culture and to Influence the Church.
Not everyone can give, but for those who can, your gift of any size will help. You can give weekly, monthly, or annually. You can give gifts of stocks, bonds, real estate, or Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) from IRAs.
